An opportunity has arisen for a Social Worker to join The Isle of Man’s Childrens Duty Service (Initial Response Team) Within this role you will be responsible for undertaking effective assessment, planning and delivery of social work services to children and families, striving for the best possible outcomes for every young person.

As a Social Worker within this team, you will be responsible for:
* Assess the needs of children, young people and their families using standard assessment tools and within prescribed timescales;
* Assess children’s needs to determine the most appropriate methods of support and referrals to partner agencies where indicated;
* To act as the ‘Duty Worker’ as part of a rota system, undertaking statutory duties; To participate in sole and joint child protection enquiries;
* To record all work in a timely and accurate manner via an electronic integrated system; Attend and contribute to case conferences, meetings and court sessions, submitting written reports where required;
What we are looking for in a Social Worker:
* Social Work England registration
* Eligible to work in the UK
* Hold a full UK license
* Post-qualified experience
* Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
