The Digital and Business Support Team is responsible for ensuring effective and efficient systems are in place to support the delivery of directorates services in relation to transport, highways and climate change.
You will support the team by undertaking tasks tosupport compliance with established businesses processes and procedures, review and develop new processes as well as identifying and supporting the development of new projects.
As a Corporate Apprentice you will be supported in the workplace to develop the skills you need to make an effective contribution to our Service. You will be provided with a range of workplace activities and experiences, as directed by the manager, and will undertake a range of duties and learning opportunities including, but not limited to, those listed below, whilst also undertaking and completing a relevant Apprenticeship qualification.
• Assist the team with collating, maintaining and analysing business information, using data systems and handling confidential data securely.
• Assist with activities to support business change aimed at improving work environments and opportunities to increase diversity and inclusion.
• Learn to undertake a range of administration and business support tasks including meeting organisation, maintenance of records and providing monitoring information.
• Assist in the formatting, presentation, maintaining and the quality assurance of key data or documents to support the team to increase consistency across the directorate.
• Assist with enquiries and act as a point of contact for requests
• Assist service areas with inputting and collating data to allow for regular analysis
• Support the team with tasks related to the review of business practices.
• Assist the team with tasks related to project planning, implementation and governance
• Learn to use a range of business software including Microsoft Office, Teams, Excel, Power Bi and bespoke Council systems.
