What we are looking for We are currently seeking a HR & Training Assistant to join the HR team at Ascot Racecourse for a seasonal role starting 6th May - for 8 weeks. You will be required to support us during the busiest operational part of our year including Royal Ascot (17th-21st June). Hours are flexible, with a minimum average of 25 hours a week. Full days will be required during Royal Ascot and Saturday 10th May, 7th June. What you’ll be doing The individual will support our Learning and Talent Partner and wider HR team, much of the role will be working with our event staff and contractors to ensure completion of e-learning modules and training attendance ahead of Royal Ascot 2025. During Royal Ascot you will be hands on supporting our workforce to deliver great service to our guests and administer our staff awards scheme. Principal Responsibilities Mapal One/ FLOW e-learning platforms Competence in this platform with the ability to (full training will be provided): Update and amend existing modules Ensure data is accurate, add new learners and delete leavers Support contract managers on uploading and maintaining their workers Advise users on setting up and signing onto the system – deal with in-house queries Create resources to help managers and users utilise the system effectively Assign new learning modules to all learners with completion dates Monitor user completion and provide reports to managers and contractors Training Support with the administration and delivery of Royal Ascot training sessions Arrange ad hoc training courses internally and externally Filing and archiving training information General HR Admin Managing employee files – paper & electronic Management of HR inbox, replying to queries and escalating where necessary Archiving and filing documents Involvement in ad hoc project work as necessary Project work Administer questionnaires and surveys Administer our Ascot Awards using Microsoft forms to collate data, mail merge letter and issue to those nominated Assist with staff engagement activities Other Responsibilities Support Race and Event days as required Support HR administration as required Other duties the Company may, at times, reasonably require.
