Finance Support Officer
Grade 5 - £26,421 - £28,770 per annum

Finance Support is the first point of contact for internal customers, enabling customers to access the right service (including self-service) at the right time to the right standards. With newly implemented processes, we provide case management services across the entire scope of Finance Services, managing and resolving the vast majority of cases.
We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Finance Support Officer. The role will have a Finance focus, so a sound knowledge of Finance processes is essential, as is a working knowledge of the MS Office suite of packages.
An excellent communicator, you should be customer focussed, able to maintain high levels of speed and accuracy whilst managing competing priorities. We are looking for people with highly developed customer service skills who are passionate about efficiency and delivery of Council services.

About you :
The successful candidate will be able to work on their own initiative, taking ownership of their work, with the ability to interpret, extract and assess important information, especially numerical data. You will have a commitment to embracing change, striving to continually improve, as well as a strong customer service ethos and excellent communication skills.
You should be capable of working in an accurate and organised way and have a good eye for detail, assisting with improvements to make the team more efficient. It is essential that you can work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and adopt a flexible approach.
