The Complex Needs Support Worker Overview:
Are you a dedicated and compassionate professional with a passion for making a difference in the lives of those with complex needs? A rewarding role awaits as a Complex Needs Support Worker, for a young individual dependent on 24-hour invasive ventilation via tracheostomy.
This role offers the chance to be part of a clinically led team, providing essential care and support to a young individual with significant health needs. The position not only allows you to utilise your existing skills but also offers comprehensive clinical training and induction overseen by professional nurses. This ensures you are fully equipped and confident in your role, fostering both personal and professional growth.
Minimum Requirements:
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in the UK working with oral suction, PEG feeding, and invasive ventilated clients. It is crucial to have the ability to monitor saturation levels and take emergency actions as needed. The role requires maintaining observations and providing accurate and clear documentation on all actions and changes.
Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in Health and Social Care is also required.
