We currently have an exciting opportunity for a site-based Occupational Health Nurse to join our team.
This is a permanent role, Monday to Friday. Full-time or part-time applicants will be considered with some flexibility around working hours; however, the successful candidate must be available to work a minimum of 3 days per week.
Qualifications and Experience
You will be a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and ideally will have an Occupational Health Diploma/Degree.
Experience in Health and Medical Surveillance in a manufacturing environment is desirable. You will have experience of general health risk assessments and knowledge and understanding of associated legislation. You will have knowledge and understanding of the Equality Act 2010.
Key Responsibilities
You will be required to identify, treat, and manage both work-related and non-work-related injury and illness (physical and mental), as well as limit the injury or illness, promote recovery, and minimize absence. Provide a counselling service.
Key Skills (Essential)
1. Exceptional communication skills allowing for effective communication with people at all levels within the business, as well as with external services.
2. Co-ordinate follow-up and referrals.
3. IT skills including use of Microsoft Suite and email, computerized occupational health records, and database report writers.
