Role: Purchasing Assistant – Temporary – Lisburn
VANRATH are recruiting on behalf of a well-established client for a Purchasing Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis. * Salary – £25,000 - £28,000

The Role
* Support the purchasing function by sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships to ensure the timely procurement of materials and services.
* Monitor stock levels and place orders to maintain optimal inventory.
* Prepare purchase orders, manage supplier contracts, and track deliveries to ensure adherence to schedules.
* Collaborate with internal departments to understand material requirements and address procurement needs.
* Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory using the company’s procurement system.
* Assist with supplier evaluations, ensuring quality standards and compliance with company policies, including Health and Safety regulations.
The Person
* At least 2 years of experience in a similar environment.
* A minimum of GCSE English and Maths (grades A–C) or equivalent.
* Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
* Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office, with experience in procurement software being advantageous.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and build relationships with suppliers.
* Proven ability to multitask, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
