Weybridge | Outside IR35 | £300 - £350 per day An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join a UK-based Design & Build Consultancy, leading multiple mechanical projects on-site in Weybridge, Surrey. This role is key in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of mechanical systems within complex building environments. The ideal candidate will have strong project management experience within the mechanical building services environment, with the ability to oversee multiple projects, manage stakeholder relationships, and provide clear communication and reporting on all project aspects. This contract is outside IR35, offering autonomy and flexibility while working with a highly skilled consultancy team. Key Duties & Responsibilities Oversee the full project lifecycle of mechanical systems. Take ownership of multiple mechanical projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders, including clients, consultants, engineers, and contractors, ensuring clear and consistent communication. Develop detailed project specifications, manage design stages, and delivery. Produce and review technical documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track. Lead on-site teams, ensuring smooth coordination between contractors, suppliers, and internal project teams. Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site. Provide regular reporting and updates to senior management, keeping all stakeholders informed of project status and key milestones. Skills & Experience Required Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager, delivering complex mechanical projects in building services, M&E, or construction environments. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, ideally with values ranging from £25k - £250k. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage clients, engineers, and subcontractors effectively. Solid Commercial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. Strong It proficiency is expected with Microsoft packages, proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is desirable but not essential. Experience working within BIM environments would be an advantage. Ability to problem-solve and adapt to changing project requirements. Excellent communication and influencing skills, ensuring successful project execution.
