Your role will be crucial in maintaining operational preparedness for security incidents, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and securely. You'll assist with business continuity and security management, providing informed opinions on security risks and contributing to the maintenance of site resilience. Your expertise will be vital in safeguarding our operations and ensuring that we are prepared for any eventuality. This position requires the successful candidate to be on-site full-time, demonstrating a strong commitment to deliver security objectives. There may also be a requirement for travel to other UK sites to support the wider DM security team during periods of leave. This role may have managerial responsibilities and you may be required to undertake weekend and overnight on-site Duty Control Officer (DCO) responsibilities in support of Major Accident Control Regulations (MACR). Please note, you will need to hold a full UK driving licence, as you will be expected to drive to different locations on the site. What you’ll be doing Identifying and mitigating security risks by overseeing physical security operations. Setting out the deployment of security measures to effectively protect assets, (information, people, buildings and equipment) throughout the office/site/facility. Supporting the Head of Security and wider DM Security Team and Security Profession, including planning testing and responding to security/emergency incidents. Conduct Security Investigations and lead any LFE actions and recommendations. Conduct assurance of all risks pertaining to office/site/facility security, providing evidence-based risk mitigations to decision makers. Ensure effective management of security infrastructure projects and programs including monitoring reactive works and small projects. Conduct assurance activities to ensure the implementation of effective security governance, guidance, education and training for all staff across the office/site/facility. Develop and embed site security instructions. Establish, maintain and promote effective strategic relationships with Policing and Guarding Providers.
