About The Role
We're seeking a talented and adaptable Creative Lead to join our team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This exciting and multifaceted role requires a strong leader with a deep understanding of Finisterre's brand, visual identity, and the art of visual storytelling. You'll be managing a small team of creatives, ensuring the delivery of innovative and on-brand creative assets across all channels. From rolling out new retail store designs to collaborating on eCommerce UX improvements, seasonal campaigns, and social content, this role is integral to delivering high-quality creative work across the business.
Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Creative Leadership: Inspire, guide, and manage the creative team to deliver innovative, cohesive, and on-brand work across all platforms, ensuring alignment with Finisterre's vision.
* Art Direction & Visual Storytelling: Collaborate with the photoshoot team and Content Director to create compelling seasonal campaigns, authentic brand narratives, and high-quality product photography.
* Execution & Quality Assurance: Translate creative direction into exceptional work across all channels, maintaining meticulous standards and ensuring timely delivery of projects.
* Mentorship & Feedback: Provide constructive feedback to team members, signing off assets while fostering professional growth and ensuring the highest levels of design and storytelling quality.
* Efficiency & Innovation: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve workflows, and enhance team productivity.
* Concept Development: Generate creative concepts and ideas that drive impactful projects, ensuring they align with the brand's identity and goals.
* Be a role model and coach the team in behaviours which align with the company vision, strategy, and values.
* Train the team in areas relating to social and environmental impact, and maintain high standards of appropriate activity.
* Carry out regular appraisals and one-to-one reviews, two-way feedback sessions, agree and review targets and training plans, and support employees in achieving them.
What You'll Bring To Finisterre
* Proven experience in a senior creative role, such as Senior Designer, Creative Lead, or equivalent.
* Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; experience with Figma is a plus.
* Demonstrated ability to lead a creative team and produce high-quality, on-brand assets across multiple channels.
* Strong expertise in visual storytelling with a deep understanding of Finisterre's brand ethos.
* Versatility and adaptability to manage a diverse range of projects, from concept development to final execution.
* Proven ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines, and consistently deliver creative excellence.
* Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication and presentation skills, and a collaborative team-player mindset.
* Passion, energy and aspiration in line with Finisterre values, products, brand and customers.
* Excellent self-awareness, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Thrives on positive change and able to manage self and others under pressure.

We are offering a full time, 12-month maternity cover contract, based at our Headquarters at Wheal Kitty, St Agnes, Cornwall. We'll invest in you with a competitive salary, circa £30,000 - £35,000, depending on your skills and experience.
