Job summary
The department of Clinical Oncology provides in-patient and out-patient care to patients with oncological malignancies, with the RadiotherapyDepartment treating patients from a wide geographical area, covering the whole of Lincolnshire. The department sees over 120 patients per daysattending for radiotherapy treatment or planning.
We are looking to appoint a highly enthusiastic person to join our busy, friendly Radiotherapy team. The post holders will assist by working with the quality manager in an admin capacity and as part of the radiographic team on all the treatment units (linear accelerators) and in the pre-treatment area as required. Ensuring that the patients are prepared for their treatment and supported from the waiting room to the treatment areas.
The ideal candidate will be motivated to work with service users and have a caring and empathetic manner. You should work well within a team, have excellent admin and communication skills as this is key for both the quality work and for patients who may have high level needs.
Main duties of the job
Clinical:Assisting radiographers by carrying out portering and other non-radiographic tasks as directed by the Superintendent Radiographer.
Quality:Assists and supports the Quality Manager in providing efficient admin support. Assists and supports the Quality Manager in achieving ISO 9001 validation.
Data Quality:Assist the research radiographer in the checking of the radiotherapy dataset
Provides cover for colleagues in their absence to maintain service levels
