Join us as a Analytical Chemist and contribute to the success of our laboratory projects Role Purpose: As an Analytical Chemist, you'll play a crucial role in assisting the Department Manager and laboratory team. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient and effective running of laboratory projects, delivering exceptional service to our clients. Key Responsibilities: Assist Senior Analyst with preparation of extracts, dilutions, buffers, and mobile phases as per planned studies. Design and run analysis sequences on laboratory instruments. Support the Senior Analyst in data transfer, processing, and maintaining accurate data on relevant servers. Contribute to the design of study protocols and feasibility assessments. Aid in the optimization and development of robust analytical methods within established timelines. Maintain up-to-date Project Flow Charts and support in data processing and test report elaboration. Handle client inquiries professionally and support the manager in developing/reviewing procedures to ensure high-quality work. Adhere to Health and Safety policies and contribute to fostering a safe working environment. Manage time and deadlines effectively. Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as required by the Department Manager or Senior Analyst. Apply chemical principles and literature knowledge to devise analytical methods. Person Specification: Critical Skills Required: Meticulous attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality of work. Collaborative and responsive approach to project management. Ability to meet project deadlines and manage time effectively. Professional demeanor with clients and colleagues. Adherence to Health & Safety and Quality procedures. Critical Knowledge/Experience Required: Practical and theoretical knowledge of analytical techniques (e.g., GCMS, LCMS). Relevant scientific experience. Understanding of medical devices. Required Qualifications: Degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field, or equivalent relevant experience. Beneficial Qualifications: Higher Degree/Master's/PhD in a science-related topic.
