In this role, you will be responsible for preparation of financial reporting information, posting and reconciling bank statements, and being a point of contact for the Finance team within the wider business. As a Finance Assistant your responsibilities will include, although are not limited to: Prepare and post month end journals. Reconciliation of key balance sheet items on a monthly basis; prepayments, accruals, fixed assets, stock, other receivables and other payables etc. Prepare the first draft of Management Accounts ready for review Analysis into TB spend – reviewing key GL codes as requested by reviewers Support on statutory and bank audits, co-ordinating samples etc. Involvement in the collation of information for the CT returns. Assist with reconciling intercompany positions for month end reporting. Daily posting of the bank current account statement and bank reconciliations Reconciling supplier invoices to purchase orders Liasing with external and internal stakeholders Any other adhoc duties To be successful in this role, you should be able to demonstrate: Previous experience in a similar role Qualification in business, finance, accounting, or a related field Good mathematical skills Solid communication skills, both written and verbal Great attention to detail Strong organisational and planning skills Good problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills IT literate, particularly with finance software and MS Excel.
