Region NCE > SBU NCE Service > SER OFS IRM Travelling Resource – Team 3
The Offshore Travel Technician will work together with technicians in a team acting as Authorised Technicians. The Offshore Travelling Technician will implement varied work on WTGs under Service O&M, also Upgrade campaigns, Main Component Exchanges, and Blade campaigns throughout the Vestas Offshore WTG fleet. You will work conjointly with other members of Vestas sites in particular the Authorising Engineers, Service managers, Project managers, and Supervisors as well as with sub-contractors and Customer Service & construction teams, overseeing that all AT tasks are carried out effectively in a safe and timely manner. You will also have the opportunity to work on the new V236 technology.
Responsibilities
* Ensuring a safe work practice by acting in compliance with Vestas HSE requirements
* Ensuring own P.P.E checks are done, and monthly check sheets are logged
* Daily communication with Service Managers, SP Supervisors, and Project Managers
* Identifying, registering, and coordinating deviations
* Trouble shooting of electrical and mechanical systems and fault diagnosis
* Registration of time and material consumption in Vestas systems
* Carry out the maintenance, repair and replacement activities of turbine components
Qualifications
* Technical education (Electrical/Mechanical) NVQ/HNC/HND/BTEC (preferred)
* Experience with WTG's and documentation essential
* Experience with technical diagrams
* Good knowledge of Microsoft products and general IT, preferably with SAP experience
* Fluent English
* Full Driving License

Additional information
This is travelling position. The team works on a rotating 2 weeks on 2 weeks off schedule. You will be hired from Denmark, UK or Germany and must have permanent residency however, your role will be varied across the UK and Europe.
