Mechanical Project Manager
Location - Mid Cornwall - South West
Salary - £60,000-£70,000
40 hour week

My client has a new complex HVAC project in Mid Cornwall with a project value of £45 million over 3 years. The project is a data centre plant replacement and refurbishment project and requires a HVAC Mechanical Project Manager to join the team.
The role:
1. Manage the Mechanical Package in line with the project and manage the resources on the project on a day-to-day basis; report any staff issues as appropriate.
2. Manage project commercial issues and cost reporting whilst identifying the clients' requirements and ensure they are delivered to the clients' satisfaction.
3. Represent the company on any internal or external issues.
4. Regularly audit the project to ensure compliance.
5. Communicate with the project team regularly on project-specific matters and company initiatives.
6. Manage procurement and achieve best value for Engineering Services.
The requirements:
1. 10 years of experience as a Mechanical Project Manager or similar in a HVAC capacity on commercial projects.
2. Experience delivering Mechanical Packages on data centres.
3. Experience managing a project team to complete projects within budget and to program.
4. Ability to interpret the requirements of the specification, manage procurement, labour, and sub-contractors, and control contract costs and variations.
5. Experience coordinating M&E Services installations.
6. Compilation and presentation of Operating & Maintenance Manuals.
7. Experience managing contract values ranging from £2m and above.
8. BTEC: HNC Building Services.
9. BTEC: ONC Building Services.
10. IOSH directing safely - desirable.
11. CSCS card.
12. SMSTS - desirable.
