Full time 37.5 hours per week. Permanent post.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Trainee Anaesthetic Nurse to join our dynamic, friendly, and forward-thinking team.
We are currently recruiting qualified nurses with a minimum of 12 months theatre experience to work in our theatre department and attend Bolton University to complete the anaesthetic module over a 6-month period. Our department offers a wide range of specialities including general surgery, trauma and elective orthopaedics, oncoplastic breast, gynaecology, obstetrics, ENT, and oral maxillofacial surgery.
The Trust appreciates and values the contribution international nurses bring to the NHS. We also understand the support overseas nurses need to gain full registration once in the UK (via OSCE) and therefore we only recruit internationally to fill nursing vacancies when we can ensure support is in place. At this present time we aren't in a position to offer that support and therefore will not accept applications from overseas nurses who only have Part 1 NMC registration. If that position changes in the future we will clearly advertise our opportunities for international nurses to join our nurse team here in Bolton. Thank you for your understanding.
Main duties of the job
Whether you are just setting out on your career or are experienced with transferable skills, we would like to talk to you about the opportunities to join us and care for our patients at a vulnerable time in their lives and to provide optimised patient outcomes every time. In return for your commitment, enthusiasm, and dedication, we will provide you with the technical skills and one-to-one support from our dedicated Practice Educator and Clinical Skills Facilitator. As an organisation, we are committed to placing the patient at the heart of everything we do and in the provision of safe, effective patient care that acknowledges and ensures dignity. With this in mind, we are seeking to recruit staff who share the organisation's values and beliefs.
You will be highly motivated with a can-do attitude and will join an innovative and proactive team to provide safe, clean, and personal care using evidence-based practice. You will be a registered nurse with current NMC registration.
The post-holder will be expected to be flexible to respond to change and organisational needs. There is a requirement to work flexible hours over the 24-hour day, including weekends and on-call rota.
