Permanent Post.
Hours: 35 hours per week, not term time.
Work Pattern: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm.
Salary: £12.82 - £13.78 per hour.
Role Overview:
South Lanarkshire Council is looking for enthusiastic, motivated staff to support the learning and development of young children within our Early Learning and Childcare establishments.
Responsibilities:
* Support the delivery of a high-quality service which supports children and staff and contributes to a positive ethos.
* Work as an effective member of the Early Learning and Childcare Team.

* Your previous experience of working with children in a professional capacity.
* Your skills, abilities, and experience that enable effective communication with children, parents/carers, and team members.
* Your experience of working as part of a team, including an example of a time you worked as part of a team and your role.
* How you would support a child requiring personal care, ensuring it is a positive and respectful experience.
* How you would support children displaying distressed behaviours, including the approaches you would use.
Qualifications:
Candidates require to have or be willing to obtain one of the following qualifications:
* NC in Early Education and Childcare at SCQF Level 6
* SVQ 2 Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF Level 6
* SVQ 2 Children's Care Learning and Development at SCQF Level 2.
Support will be provided to successful candidates who don't hold a relevant qualification to obtain one.
