An opportunity has arisen for the Maintenance Technician to join our Manufacturing team in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment. The purpose of the role is to be responsible for completing preventive and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance to manufacturing equipment, fixtures and fittings, as well as building systems and any business supporting tasks. The successful candidate will be flexible, working shifts from days, earlies, afternoons and possible nights.
Job role:
* Assisting to create and maintain a fully populated and working CMMS system
* Following the maintenance schedule to ensure that all routine tasks are completed and compliance can be demonstrated
* Moving and installing manufacturing equipment
* Fault finding on robots, relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, sensors & scanners, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, and encoders
* Communicating with departments to organise PPM activities
* Carrying out weekly checks as required, including yard checks, fire doors, emergency exits, legionella, etc.
* Minor building fabric repairs, decorating, and general ad-hoc tasks
* Working closely with Health and Safety to ensure compliance
* Fire Marshall and First Aid duties
* Contractor Control management duties
You’ll have:
* Experience in CMMS & IT skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels (written & verbal)
* Practical skills and experience in Electrical & Mechanical or Multi-skill qualifications
* Able to do the job right first time, within a pre-determined timescale
* Positive and proactive in approach, with good customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
* Able to work independently (as well as within a team), with self-motivation being very important, as well as the ability to organise and prioritise own workload, develop and deliver Preventive Maintenance programs
* Knowledge of statutory compliance and contractor control management
* Physically fit (as the role includes manual handling of items and using ladders)
* Willingness to learn and develop in a way to help the department and the business
* Clean driving licence
