Your role:
We have an opportunity for a Degree Apprentice (Level 6) Civil Engineer to start in Summer / Autumn 2025 and join our water sector team based in Newcastle.
In this role you will be working within our Water division. You will work alongside a diverse and highly skilled team of Water Engineers and Modellers. You will learn how to use relevant software and programs such as Computer Aided Design (CAD) to produce drawings for infrastructure projects that develop a better way of how we obtain, clean, and distribute water for our communities. Water is one of our most precious natural assets, and our work is key to help provide innovative sustainable solutions that balance our environmental impact.
Your role will support undertaking a variety of civil engineering tasks for projects including treatment works, pumping stations, and pipelines. You will assist Senior Engineers on activities throughout the project lifecycle that reduce our environmental impact, help solve problems, and provide innovative solutions to support our client’s needs. You will also work closely with other disciplines within the project team such as mechanical and electrical engineers to ensure that the right solution is always being delivered as projects continue to progress.
Our apprenticeships allow you to learn whilst you earn as you study for an academic qualification. You’ll get the chance to expand your knowledge by attending university on day release. You will gain a Level 6 BEng Civil Engineering degree.
About you:
For our apprenticeships, no previous experience is required. If you are self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn, then this could be for you.
Qualifications:
* For our Level 6 apprenticeship, you will need either:
o 112 UCAS Tariff points, gained from a combination of acceptable Level 3 qualifications which may include: A-levels, BTEC Diplomas/Extended Diplomas, Scottish and Irish Highers, Access to HE Diplomas or the International Baccalaureate.
o We may also consider applicants who have successfully completed a related Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship, or those with non-standard qualifications, or a significant amount of relevant work-based or professional experience.

Please note, we ask our Apprentices to come into the office 4 days per week, to ensure that colleagues are able to provide the appropriate level of support.
