Locum Reporting Radiographer
Location: Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust
Salary: £20 - £30 per hour
Contract Type: Temporary

Contract Period: 3 months initially

About the Role: Our NHS Trust is seeking a Reporting Radiographer to play a crucial role in advancing our Reporting Service. The role involves ensuring timely and accurate reporting of scans with excellence and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide detailed written or verbal reports on diagnostic imaging (plain film/MRI/CT) to referring clinicians.
2. Organize and manage your workload efficiently daily.
3. Conduct high-quality diagnostic imaging across various modalities, adhering to departmental protocols.
4. Supervise and support junior Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners, Apprentices, and students.
5. Assist in the teaching of SpRs and engage in research and audit activities.
6. Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring adherence to infection control and radiation safety standards.
7. Troubleshoot and manage equipment issues, maintaining accurate records.
Qualifications:
8. Essential: BSc(Hons) Radiography, DCR(D) Diploma or Equivalent; PgCert/PgDip/MSc in plain film reporting.
9. Desirable: Management training.
Experience:
10. Essential: Senior radiographer experience in multiple modalities; experience in monitoring junior staff.
11. Desirable: Previous reporting radiographer role; teaching and supervision experience.
Knowledge:
12. Essential: Familiarity with reporting radiographer standards and local policies; understanding of IR(ME)R legislation.
Additional Requirements:
13. Current UK professional registration.
