JOB MISSION:
As the Global Marketing Manager, Global Football you will be responsible for devising and delivering seasonal creative campaigns and activation plans connected to our Global Football Club partnership. You will work in partnership with regional marketing leads across North America, Europe, Japan, APAC and Latin America to ensure successful delivery of seasonal campaigns. This is a very collaborative role, where you will work closely with cross-functional teams internally and externally to ensure successful delivery of marketing campaigns for both the football team and individual players. Building strong relationships with key club partners is critical to maintaining the success of New Balance's partnership. Ideal candidates will be responsible for bringing to life unique cultural stories around our football club partners, creating strong collaboration in line with brand guidelines. Line management will be required within this role. This is a 12 month FTC. Monthly travel across Europe will be required within this role, visiting clubs and photoshoots. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Deliver our approach to New Balance's annual partner club Global Marketing campaigns, forming a global viewpoint which will also be adopted on a Regional and Local level.
2. Develop and manage our annual kit campaigns with one of our global club partners to build seasonal activation plans and global stories around the club.
3. Develop a deep understanding of club and fan culture, establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with regional marketers to ensure global and regional alignment.
4. Develop and manage global fan cultural storytelling projects across the year from concept to delivery.
5. Multitask projects for all seasons, ensure deadlines are met.
6. Work with the wider Global Football team to deliver photoshoots connected to our global football clubs: Plan shoot timelines, content capture and deliver launch toolkits to regions.
7. Work with key media partners / agency partners as part of this work to manage concept ideation, content capture and distribution strategy.
8. Manage activations for Football x Culture programmes, including collaboration projects with wider New Balance teams.
9. Work with the Global Ambassador Integration Team and Football Sports Marketing Team to align on and map out the integration of our Football Ambassadors into Global, Regional and Local campaigns.
10. Work with the Global Ambassador Integration Team and Football Sports Marketing Team to deliver Ambassador 360 Marketing plans, ensuring Football team integration into those plans.
11. Closely manage relationships with key stakeholders.
12. Manage Associate Marketing Manager, coach and mentor to ensure they meet all their required KPI's, annual goals and review performance.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
1. Previous experience in a Marketing role.
2. Educated to Degree level, ideally within marketing / business / writing / sport-related subjects.
3. Previous experience working with the sports industry - ideally Football.
4. Strong passion for working with a diverse range of people from varying cultures.
5. Strong relationship management, development and problem-solving skills.
6. Collaborative and proactive outlook and willingness to take on new projects and support in the delivery of projects across the team.
7. Passion for football, sports industry and culture.
8. Previous line management experience is beneficial, but not required.
9. Strong organizational and planning skills.
10. Adept and creative storyteller who prioritizes authenticity in bringing to life unique stories around real people and communities.
11. Interest in following trends in football, sport, lifestyle and social media marketing.
12. Willingness to travel regularly (on a monthly basis).
13. Flexible approach to working hours outside of the normal 9-5 when required.
