Applications are invited from suitably-experienced Band 4 Outreach Support Workers to join the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) team, part of the Adult and Childrens Learning Disabilities Service on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands. Reporting to the PBS Lead you will; assist the PBS Lead and PBS Practitioner with behaviour assessments assist with implementing intervention plans, and data collection for children and adults with learning disabilities (LD) and/or autism (ASD) who present challenging behaviours. assist in developing PBS plans and supporting families and staff to implement a variety of positive behavioural interventions Please note; Guernsey has adopted the AfC banding system, but have applied their own salary scales. The Guernsey Band 4 salary range from 1 st Jan is £31,966 to £37,967 plus an annual bonus of £1,605 and higher unsocial hours enhancements; 40% evening/Saturday and 80% Sunday/BH. Annual leave starts at 36 days up to 42 days with full credit for NHS service for annual leave and sick leave. The island of Guernsey is in the Channel Islands and has a population of 65,000. Person Requirements: Current or recent experience supportingchildren and/or adults with learning disabilities/Autism and challenging behaviour. Level 3 or 4 qualification in Behaviour Analysis; PBS BTEC or RBT. For applicants without the qualification; 5 yearsexperience working with individuals with LD and ASD who present challenging behaviours, GCSE-level English and Maths, and a willingness to complete the Level 5 qualification once in post.
