Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of our site operations in Whiston, Liverpool. In this role, you will lead a team of 9 operatives, managing both reactive workload and planned preventive maintenance (PPM) to ensure high standards of performance and safety.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, support, and motivate a team of 9 operatives to complete daily facilities tasks effectively.
* Manage and prioritize reactive workload alongside a robust PPM schedule to maintain smooth operations.
* Oversee the management of site water systems, ensuring compliance and quality.
* Act as Responsible Person (RP) for water systems, with an option for Gas RP if desired.
* Look after ventilation systems, with the opportunity to become an AP if desired.
* Collaborate with engineering teams, utilizing technical insights to optimize maintenance processes.
* Management and audit of contractors ensuring completion of all PPMs and reported remedial works.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
Key Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven experience in facilities management, ideally in a hands-on, team-based environment.
* Engineering background or relevant technical experience preferred.
* Knowledge of water and gas systems management. (Training provided if required for RP roles.)
* Strong leadership and organizational skills with a focus on health, safety, and compliance.
