The Role:
We are excited to announce that we’re looking for a data-savvy Business Analyst to join us as we embark on our upgrades program, transitioning our customers to a cutting-edge platform. In this pivotal role, you'll dive deep into data analysis and interpretation, collaborating closely with stakeholders from all corners of the business. Partnering with the rest of the Upgrades team, you'll play a key role in capturing and refining requirements, transforming them into user stories that will populate our product backlog.
* Conducting a thorough gap analysis to pinpoint the disparities between our current and target platforms.
* Collaborating with diverse stakeholders across teams such as Product, Sales, Marketing, and Engineering to quantify the gaps and recommend strategies for closure through development or customer negotiation/education.
* Assisting during the customer migration phase, partnering with Sales and Customer Support for cohort analysis, and devising strategies to minimize and manage customer impact.
* Collaborating with Customer Support and Learning & Development to establish business readiness criteria and produce comprehensive training documentation.
* Engaging with Engineering and Project Management to help support, monitor, and ensure the smooth migration of customers between platforms in conjunction with the Product Owner.
* Providing expert support during the hypercare/warranty phase, serving as a go-to resource for addressing customer queries and concerns.
* Assessing the impact of change requests, crafting user stories and acceptance criteria for necessary development aligned with the prioritized backlog.
* Collaborating with the relevant work streams to define non-functional requirements for upgrades, aligning with the new platform's overall non-functional needs.
* Teaming up with the Product Owner and key stakeholders to define and adhere to the prerequisites and definition of done for successful customer migrations.
* Cooperating with the Product, Architecture, and Engineering teams to outline the technical strategy for migrations, notably concerning data and API migration.
* Supporting the Engineering team in establishing and managing the testing approach for upgrades, covering both functional and non-functional testing.
The Person:
* Experience of working as a Business Analyst or similar in an Agile team
* Stakeholder management and leading requirements gathering
* Working with software-based products, ideally in a SaaS environment through full-lifecycle delivery
* Experience of conducting gap analysis to inform decision making
* Delivering business process change as part of software delivery
* Using empirical methods to support decision making
* Excellent written and verbal communication to both technical and non-technical audiences
* Ability to articulate and communicate a vision; and bringing those around on board
* Tangible experience of impact analysis to inform decision making
* Superb organisation and diligence; able to manage multiple priorities and pick out the critical detail
* Experience of using data and reporting to validate business outcomes
