Reed Brighton is delighted to be working with a leading manufacturer in West Sussex who is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Coordinator to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and updating work orders, coordinating with external service providers, and ensuring smooth communication between operations and sales teams. This role requires excellent organisational skills, the ability to multitask, and strong communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work Order Management:
Update work orders as schedules change due to internal or customer-driven adjustments.
Support the maintenance and updating of production schedules to ensure timely delivery.
2. External Services Coordination:
Process work orders for external services such as painting, plating, etc.
Maintain daily communication with external service suppliers and occasionally visit them to ensure service quality and timeliness.
Track and expedite external services to ensure they meet production timelines.
3. Production Support:
Assist in processing urgent items through production to ensure they stay on track.
Provide support to the production team to address any issues that may arise.
4. Communication:
Facilitate communication between the operations and sales teams on specific topics as needed.
Ensure that all relevant information is accurately conveyed to the appropriate parties.
5. Additional Duties:
Perform other tasks as assigned to support the operations team.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience in operations coordination or a similar role.
2. Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
5. Proficiency in using production management software and tools.
6. Willingness to travel occasionally to visit external service providers.
