We are recruiting a UK & Ireland HSE Manager for a large FMCG business. With responsibility for 7 UK sites, one direct report, and just over 400 staff, it is your role to create and drive the Health and Safety strategy, communicate it effectively at all levels, and remain a hands-on, visible leader who will role model good behavior and bring a positive, energetic approach to the business.
We require someone who is commutable to Northamptonshire, where 3/7 sites are located, and someone who is able to travel approximately 4 days a week, particularly to a site in the North West.
The role will be 80% H&S and 20% Environmental, but as environmental and sustainability continue to become more important, this part of the role will likely increase.
What we are looking for:
1. Someone who is confident in an operational, hands-on capacity and is willing to roll their sleeves up. You must, however, be equally able to engage, gain buy-in, influence, and convey the HSEQ message to the SLT. This credibility to communicate across all levels is essential for the role.
2. NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) level qualification.
3. FMCG experience is desirable, but the client will consider wider regulated manufacturing experience as well.
4. Environmental Sustainability knowledge is preferred.
5. Prior management experience of multiple sites in a similar level role.
Salary on offer is £75-90K DOE plus 15 – 20% Bonus and Company Car Scheme worth circa £7K (plus additional package).
