You will lead by example with strong and effective leadership whilst setting the highest standards in health, safety and environment, production, quality, reliability, maintenance and people performance. About the Role As Plant Manager you will With safety as first priority, you will drive a positive and compliant health, safety & environmental culture, providing a consistent leadership style that promotes the highest standards through teamwork and open communication. Leading by example, you will provide strong and effective leadership in managing plant operations and sett the highest standards in terms of H&S, production, quality, reliability and maintenance and people performance. In addition you will: contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice manufacturing vision, strategy, process and procedures to drive operational performance drive a lean manufacturing culture and mindset which embraces and demonstrates continuous improvement manage the overall operational activity of the site and take direct responsibility for site wide issues ensure high levels of customer service through delivery of production targets and quality standards ensure optimum level of working capital projects to meet with business targets, improve plant performance and reduce manufacturing costs focus on plant reliability & AM/PM maintenance and ensure the CMMS (Agility) and other PPM schedules are adhered to financial accountability with strong cost management adherence to budget and forecast ensure legal compliance of all activities at your site including PPC and environmental emissions, H&S requirements (PUWER, LOLER, HASAWA, RAs, etc) devise and assign individual objectives and department KPIs with frequent review of performance to ensure deliverables are realised reduce production and quality losses utilising problem solving tools to improve performance and costs lead and develop direct reports, identifying personal and team training needs to maximise resource potential and drive change support product development deliver year on year cost improvement have ownership of medium and longer term plans to ensure the plant meets with its potential and aligns to the business requirements Hours of Work: 8.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday About You You will be degree qualified; ideally in engineering, science, operations or business management, with a minimum of 5 years senior production management experience in a world class manufacturing environment.
