A rare and rewarding opportunity has arisen within the Contracts and Commissioning Team for a professional, enthusiastic and confident individual. As a Contract Monitoring Officer you will be able to work effectively as part of a busy team and alone, using your own initiative. You will need to develop and build upon good working relationships with colleagues, Senior Officers and other professionals within the Local Authority and Health Board, together with independent and 3rd Sector social care Service Providers. You will be responsible for monitoring Service Provider’s performance and compliance with the LA’s contract and current standards as set out in legislation to ensure that the best quality of service possible is commissioned for the citizens of Blaenau Gwent. The ability to be flexible and to communicate effectively are essential as you will be expected to carry out announced and unannounced visits to Service Providers and to engage with the Provider’s workforce and Individuals in receipt of the service.
