Job Summary
Lifttech Inspection Services Ltd are a rapidly-growing regional business centred around engineering excellence and exceptional customer service. We are seeking a time-served Engineer Surveyor in the Suffolk area.
We offer a range of on-site compliance Inspection Services including LOLER & PSSR Thorough Examinations and PUWER Inspections throughout East Anglia. As a member company of the Engineer Surveyor Inspection Network (ESiNet), we support, and are supported by, circa 25 Independent Inspection Service Providers across the UK and ROI.
Role and Responsibilities
To be the client-facing Competent Person on site carrying out Examinations and Inspections of multiple plant types across a vast array of industries. PART-TIME PRO-RATA OPTIONS AVAILABLE. WOULD SUIT EX-FORCES ENGINEER SURVEYOR.
1. Carry out engineering Thorough Examinations / Inspections in accordance with relevant legislation, standards and industry best practice
2. Prepare expert engineering reports using Motion Kinetic inspection reporting system
3. Help promote LiftTech Inspection Services Ltd on site and at networking events
4. Work alongside LiftTech Inspection Services Ltd and ESiNet Engineers to offer the best service possible within our network
5. Liaise with the Office Administrator and Engineers for planning workloads
6. Field based role working from home with occasional option to work out of region
7. Flexible and reactive service where necessary is required
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
Minimum HNC or equivalent in the Engineering sector. Time-served Engineer Surveyor in the Inspection Industry.
Preferred Skills
1. To have exceptional interpersonal skills and be able to seek solutions to overcome challenges
2. In-depth knowledge of LOLER, PUWER and PSSR Regulations and ACOPs
3. Have professional registration of EngTech Status and be willing to work towards IEng
4. Ideally multi-discipline examination experience within the inspection industry which includes mobile crane, passenger lift, materials handling, powered access and minor pressure systems etc.
5. Fundamental understanding of PSSR Written Schemes of Examination
6. Knowledge of SAFed documentation and appropriate British Standards
7. Experience in a UKAS 17020 Inspection Body
8. To be driven and enthusiastic with a willingness to succeed and learn within a small team
9. Be competent in using Microsoft Office Suite and relevant IT systems
