Salary: £23,421 - £28,536 (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week

St Andrew’s Birmingham is a 118 bedded adult mental healthcare facility comprises of eight units that cover medium and low security for both Men and Women. Located in Stirchley, a vibrant area in South Birmingham, easily accessible by road networks and public transport.
We require an experienced chef for our Birmingham Site. You will be expected to work as part of a multifunctional team to prepare high quality hot and cold food for lunch and dinner, working to strict deadlines, complying to health & Safety and food safety regulations.
You must also:-
1. Hold a current food hygiene certificate and relevant certificate in Food Production within Hospitality and Catering or equivalent.
2. Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook
3. Be passionate about food and service
4. Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment (e.g. grillers and pasta makers)
5. Be able work closely with Dieticians to establish what textured foods are required within the service
6. Be able to interface with Services users, Staff and visitors
7. Be able to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction.
8. Be capable of ordering food – ability to use Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
9. Be fully conversant with food hygiene legislation and HACCP
10. To be effective in maintaining the high standards of day to day cleanliness and food safety requirements
You will need a flexible approach to working hours, be able to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills and exhibit attitudes and behaviours reflective of St Andrew’s care values.
