Band 8a HCPC-registered Senior Clinical Scientist in Cytogenetics and Molecular Haematology
Applications are invited from exceptional, self-motivated HCPC-registered Clinical Scientists (cancer genomics, molecular or cytogenetics) to join the Cytogenetics and Molecular Haematology Department.
The post holder will have operational management of a designated area of the service. The post holder will be involved in the analysis and reporting of complex genomic results including molecular tests, cytogenetics and whole genome sequencing (WGS). The post holder will be involved in the research and development of genomic testing for cancer patients. The post holder will contribute to training and mentoring of the scientific workforce both within the organisation and across the North Thames Genomic Laboratory Hub (GLH).
The NHS East and South East London Pathology Partnership is an arms-length organisation providing pathology services to Barts Health NHS Trust, Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. The Pathology Partnership is hosted by Barts Health.
The Pathology Partnership is based on well-established models for pathology networks, with the Royal London Hospital becoming the main hub laboratory for the network and Essential Service Laboratories (ESL) as a minimum at all other Hospital sites.
