Package: £37,860 - £58,000 + Allowance (depending on your suitability and level of experience)

Let us introduce these roles
Working within Manufacturing Engineering, these roles would be to help design and shape our future production capabilities to manufacture the UK's future nuclear deterrent, using new and innovative technologies and processes.
Working in a highly regulated environment, alongside our design teams, technical experts and research centres. The role of the Manufacturing Engineer is to identify, develop and implement innovative ways of working, supporting production operations.
These roles are ideally suited to candidates with demonstrable experience in working within a manufacturing environment. Specifically, the design of new production capabilities, transfer of production capabilities and the introduction of new products into existing capabilities. Experience in engineering design for manufacture and working within a supply chain partnership is essential.
Who are we looking for?
Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we would like you to have experience in some of the following:
Experience in a wide range of manufacturing inspection and analytical techniques
Identifying, developing and implementing innovative ways of working, commensurate with a new product introduction (NPI)
Developing new cutting-edge production capabilities (new facilities) as part of complex infrastructure projects
Design to Manufacture experience of process, tooling or equipment including requirements capture and presenting at design reviews
Configuration management
Tools and software supporting digital manufacturing
Process and manufacturing documentation development to support safe systems of work
Driving and managing engineering change and transformation within a manufacturing environment
Supporting prototype build activities, new technologies and design implementation.
Knowledge and understanding of process control and problem investigation tools (PFMEAs, control plans, RCA, A3, 5 whys)
Application of Lean Manufacturing Techniques, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Continuous Improvement, Quality Tools, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Obsolescence Management and Model Based Engineering

Due to the classified nature of the work involved, there are limited opportunities to work from home with these roles. It is anticipated that the successful candidates will spend the majority of their time working on site at AWE Aldermaston or Burghfield.
