Role Description:
The National Account Manager will meet our customers' needs and maintain a customer-focused approach. Additionally, they must generate new business through cold calling or networking to increase company turnover.
Ideally the role is office based with travel expected for customer visits, however, hybrid working will be considered. This is an exciting role, joining the business at a time of growth and expansion, while keeping the customers at the heart of everything we do.
Key Responsibilities:
* Gain new sales connections through networking and cold calling.
* Responsibility for managing own client list and margins.
* Ensure all samples are sourced and distributed according to customer requirements.
* Be the primary point of contact for customers with a proven ability to deal and resolve challenges in a self-sufficient manner.
* Communicate customer requirements to the Management team and be responsible for delivering customer service.
* Work closely with other departments to meet customer demands.
* Visit current customers for full account reviews.
* Ensure all sales enquiries are dealt with promptly.
* Determine costs and generate quotes for customers.
* Negotiate with customers on pricing levels.
* Monitor our performance and customer satisfaction.
* Build and maintain good relationships with customers.
* Complete forecasting and performance reviews of accounts.
* Provide support to the Directors and sales team for all strategic sales planning.
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate must have:
* Food commercial background.
* At least 2 years previous experience in a similar role, within the FMCG industry.

* Proficient in Office 365.
* Strong commercial acumen.
* Excellent communication skills.

Working Hours:
* 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.
* Office based but with travel expected for client visits.
