£80 to £120k plus - Will move for the right candidate
Hybrid - 3 days a week in the office
My client is a 5 year old start-up, slowly moving into a scale-up model. They have reached well over £1m ARR and are in the middle of a significant funding round to allow them to grow more quickly.
They are now looking for someone to lead their day-to-day product build and ensure the product evolves with customer’s need whilst staying compliant with relevant rules and regulations. This role is a key position which will directly contribute to our mid and long-term success.
Someone to join them as a Product Manager to help drive the product roadmap and bespoke customer changes. Overall competitive package, reflecting skill and experience, including participation in the stock options plan.
Who they are:
They provide payment solutions as a SaaS model, running both the operations and technology their customers.
The role:
* Initially helped and guided by the CEO and Management team, you will ultimately take full control and accountability for the product roadmap and its delivery, and for software development priorities.
* You will work closely with the CTO and Development Manager to ensure the delivery of software releases in line with the business priorities and product roadmap.
* You will support the sales team with prospect discussions to present the product and discuss customer requirements.
* This is a very hands-on role with a mix of product management and product ownership activities (such as participation in sprint grooming and sprint demoes).
* You will have shared accountability for the development of the product in line with customer demands and industry trends.
What they are looking for from you:
* You have at least 5 years’ experience in a product role within the technology space.
* You have a passion for banking/payment systems.
* You understand operational processes and what good practices look like.
* You have good stakeholder management skills.
* You are comfortable taking a hands-on approach when necessary.
* You understand JSON REST API best practices and how to build an API the business can be proud of.
* You have excellent English oral and written communication.
* You have experience working for a start-up or small business.
* You understand technology businesses and have a strong understanding of the software lifecycle; you aren’t lost speaking to a technical team.
* Excellent understanding of full software lifecycle, especially using Agile
* Demonstrate the ability to work with a development team, especially around trade off and compromises when delivering on tight deadlines.
* Whilst you are process driven and seeking a great solution, you understand that start-ups environment sometimes means corner cutting, and that the perfect is the enemy of the good.
* Demonstrable ability to deliver in both start-up and corporate environments.
