The Earlham Institute (EI) is seeking a proactive and experienced Commercialisation Manager to join its Business Development and Impact (BDI) team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong background in knowledge exchange and technology transfer to contribute to the translation of world-class research into impactful solutions.

The BDI team supports the Institute by fostering collaborations with academic, industry, and government partners to maximise the impact of its research.
Role Responsibilities
The Commercialisation Manager will work closely with the Head of Business Development and Impact to deliver the Institute’s knowledge exchange, commercialisation, and impact strategies. Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and managing commercialisation projects, such as contract research, licensing agreements, and spinouts, to generate new revenue streams.
* Establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships with industry stakeholders, government agencies, and investors.
* Creating and optimising internal processes for commercial project management and administration.
* Supporting the development and protection of intellectual property (IP) and contributing to impact reporting.
* Leading initiatives to foster entrepreneurial skills and promote an innovative culture at the Institute.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
* A degree in biological or life sciences (a postgraduate qualification is desirable).
* Extensive experience in knowledge exchange, technology transfer, and commercialisation within the life sciences sector.
* Strong project management skills and experience coordinating diverse stakeholder relationships.
* A solid understanding of intellectual property management and commercialisation strategies.
* Excellent communication, networking, and problem-solving abilities.
