What skills and experience we're looking for
We have an opportunity for a caring and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant, supporting our pupils in mainstream classes.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working with teachers to support teaching and learning, providing general and specific assistance to pupils and staff under the direction of the classroom teacher.
You will either work with individuals or small groups, supporting pupils to understand instructions and facilitate independent learning, helping to provide inclusion for all pupils.
The successful candidate would require:
• Experience of working with children in a similar environment;
• A good general education including English, Maths and Science GCSE’s;
• Proven ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Evidence of other TA related qualifications or training, and experience of supporting those with specific learning difficulties would be an advantage.
