What You Will Do: Client Interaction: Engage directly with clients to understand their projects, innovations, and processes to identify potential R&D tax claims. Tax Credit Claims: Lead and manage the preparation and submission of R&D tax claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the UK R&D tax credit scheme. Technical Report Writing: Use your engineering expertise to craft clear, detailed, and technically accurate reports that highlight the innovation behind the clients' R&D activities. Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across the firm to ensure clients receive a seamless and integrated service, liaising with tax advisors, accountants, and other departments as needed. Continuous Improvement: Keep up-to-date with changes in R&D tax legislation and ensure the firm's practices remain aligned with evolving tax law. Client Education: Provide clients with insight and advice on maximising their R&D claims and understanding the tax incentives available to them. What You Will Have: Experience: A solid background in a client-facing role with hands-on experience in R&D tax credit claims, preferably within a professional services or accountancy environment. Engineering Knowledge: An engineering background (preferably mechanical, software, or chemical engineering) that will allow you to understand complex projects and accurately assess them for tax claims. Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts in clear, accessible language. Attention to Detail: High attention to detail with the ability to produce comprehensive, accurate, and well-structured reports. Project Management: Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines effectively.
