An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Children's Home Manager with 2 years of experience working with children or young people to join a well-established organisation, providing care for children and young people. This full-time role offers excellent benefits and a salary range of £40,000 - £50,000 for 37.5 hours.
As the Children's Home Manager, you will lead a team, ensuring high standards of care are met, supporting young people to achieve their full potential in a safe, supportive environment.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the daily operations of the residential home, including staffing, budgeting, and resource management.
2. Foster an inclusive and supportive home atmosphere based on the principles of Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy (PACE).
3. Develop, implement, and monitor placement plans and risk assessments.
4. Ensure accurate record-keeping in compliance with company policies and legislation.
5. Liaise with families, external agencies, and other stakeholders.
6. Provide leadership and guidance to staff, offering supervision, training, and performance management.
7. Participate in recruitment and selection processes.
What We Are Looking For:
1. Previous experience in a similar role such as Children's Home Manager, Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, Home Manager, Care Manager within residential childcare.
2. At least 2 years of experience working with children or young people, preferably those with emotional or behavioural difficulties.
3. Background in a managerial role within a residential care setting.
4. Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare or a Degree in Social Work (or equivalent).
5. Hold or working towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Management in Residential Childcare.
6. Understanding of The Children’s Home (England) Regulations 2015 and safeguarding standards.
7. Enhanced DBS check.
