* Shift patterns: 7.00-14.30 / 14.30-22.00 / 22.00-7.00
* Full time - 37.5 hours

For this service, we require staff who are able and willing to drive our company cars; therefore, you must hold a full UK Driving Licence.
Applicants from experienced Care Team Leaders/Senior Support Workers holding an NVQ/QCF in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) would be an advantage. However, if you are a dedicated Care Assistant or Carer with a solid track record and the ambition to progress, Lifeways can offer you excellent training and ongoing development for you to enjoy a rewarding career with us.
As Team Leader, you will lead and motivate a team of support workers ensuring that excellent person-centred care and support is delivered to people supported by Lifeways to enable them to live a fulfilling and independent life.
You will be involved in the recruitment and ongoing development of support workers by carrying out staff supervisions, candidate interviews, and providing general guidance and expertise. You will possess excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with staff, the people we support, and outside professionals. In addition, good written communication and IT skills are required for record keeping.
We have a lovely service situated in Ramleaze, West Swindon. This service is very easy to get to on a No1 or 1a bus if you do not drive.
We currently support four women with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Diabetes. Three of the individuals supported are non-verbal; one can communicate her needs and preferences.
Activities that are required include Swimming, Cinema, Cycling, Shopping, and Ice Skating (Staff will not have to actually ice skate themselves unless they want to, as there are professionals to support with this).
This post is exempt from the Equality Act 2010 (Schedule 9, Part 1) which provides for the application of a genuine occupational requirement.
