What you'll do As an Actuary in Pensions - You'll utilise financial and statistical theories to assess risks and outcomes. - Present findings in clear language and gain early client exposure. - Consult on managing liability and asset risks, funding schemes, designing retirement plans, and advising on mergers or acquisitions. - Employ market-leading pensions analytics tools to help clients develop and implement pension strategies or benefit schemes. What you'll gain During our programme, you’ll study with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. Once you’ve completed the exams, you’ll then be fully qualified and a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries. What you'll need You must have or be on track to pass an undergraduate degree in any subject. We assess your progress based on your most recent academic grades. While no specific degree or A Level subjects are required, the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) suggests a maths-based degree for those pursuing an actuarial career. The IFoA qualification is rigorous, and if you lack a maths-based degree, they recommend taking a non-member exam to prepare.
