Senior Practitioner We are looking for 2 dynamic, highly motivated, and enthusiastic Senior Practitioners. One post will be in our Learning Disabilities and Neurodiversity Team, the other in our City Wellbeing Service. About the role: We are looking for individuals with a minimum of 18 months Social Worker post qualifying experience, ideally with line management experience already either as a Practice Educator, from their previous Senior Practitioner role, or as a work based Supervisor, or mentor for staff. About you: You will have a high level of legal literacy around the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, Continuing Healthcare, and Safeguarding to enable you to support with the development of qualified Social Workers and non registered staff in these areas, and to provide them with practice advice and guidance as required. You will have an awareness of needing to work within a budget, and support the Team Manager, Service Manager and Head of Service to ensure we operate within this, using practice underpinned by a strengths based approach, and least restrictive care plans. You will have experience of providing high quality, and reflective Supervision to staff. You will need to be confident in chairing complex meetings including Best Interest meetings and Safeguarding meetings. You will have a clear understanding of roles and responsibilities under the Care Act, and Mental Capacity Act and be a good role model to less experienced staff.
