To be successful as The Mill's General Manager you need: Management Experience in a 3/4 40 bedroom hotel Phenomenal experience leading successful Bar and Restaurant teams- delighting and enhancing guest experience- the Mill is a heavily F&B focussed site A thirst to drive and constantly raise standards across the Hotel- you lead by example Great attention to detail Insight in to local market, specifically aware of opportunities and ways to increase F&B footfall Ability to lead and inspire a team, across a number of divisions, e.g. Restaurant, Kitchen, Housekeeping, Reception Numerical dexterity to crunch the numbers, drive occupancy, ARR and achieve best stock control and ROI, control the costs across the business and interpret those numbers to drive forwards Compassion to lead, motivate, inspire and develop your team- from your housekeeping stars to your back office team and FOH wonders Proven experience being hands on whilst seeing the bigger picture to increase your business Proven ability to work autonomously within an evolving framework Managers are managed against the Hotel P&L, guest feedback, ARR, Occupancy levels, Audits and Team stability The ideal Hotel General Manager: · Must have experience within a similar role with site and P&L responsibility - proven to be in control and drive positively · Strong Hospitality Background, preferably F&B driven experience gained in hotels or high volume restaurants with personality, with proven levels of success · Excellent management skills, including recruiting, performance managing, developing and leading a team and an exceptional manager · Commercially astute to monitor and analyse trends, in all hotel divisions, and identify opportunities and work with local community to drive and maintain market share · Flexible in approach and a ‘Can do, will achieve’ attitude We offer a great environment where you get to influence and shape the menus you're delivering, you guide and mentor your team and are a key part of your site's success.
