UKi Media & Events is an international specialist event organiser and publishing company based in Dorking, Surrey, UK. Our success is driven by a team of more than 90 talented individuals dedicated to delivering world-class events and publications. We are proud to publish 13 magazines that serve the automotive, aerospace, marine, meteorological and logistics sectors. Our new offices in central Dorking offer an engaging and collaborative work environment.

THE ROLE:
As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for new business generation, account management, and delivering against ambitious commercial targets. You will also play a key role in executing new value propositions individually and as part of team. Selling internationally into two market leading automotive B2B events in Europe and North America.
SALES
· Manage daily sales activities and lead by example through personal sales performance.
· Drive new business development across stand and sponsorship revenue streams.
· Collaborate with the Event Director to execute the show’s sales and commercial strategy.
· Deliver revenue targets exceeding £1 million, with a strong mix of stand and sponsorship sales.
· Maintain a high volume of outbound calls and meetings in line with KPIs.
· Lead the rebooking process and renewals strategy with existing exhibitors.
· Ensure CRM (Salesforce) and sales pipeline reporting are accurate and up to date.
MARKETING
· With the Event Director and Marketing Director / Brand Manager, develop an exhibitor campaign strategy including lead generation plan, supporting materials and a pitch deck
· Work with the marketing team to help deliver the event marketing strategy which meets overall visitor numbers (with the right demographics), feature content, visitor and acquisition costs
· Personally manage selected key industry partnerships in conjunction with the Event Director
RELATIONSHIP
· Foster positive and professional relationships with key suppliers, associations, media and commercial partners
ABOUT YOU:
· 2+ years of sales experience, ideally in exhibitions or B2B media/events.
· Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets (£1m+), including stand and sponsorship.
· Demonstrated success in new business generation and closing.
· Strong commercial acumen and ability to build value-based propositions.
· Automotive industry experience is a bonus.
· Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
· Confident using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and Excel for reporting.
