Job summary
The Bury Integrated MSK Service is an investigation and treatment service for patients with musculoskeletal problems. The Administrative Team ensures the provision of a range of secretarial, administrative and clerical services to advanced practitioners working in the service. This entails typing clinic letters, co-ordinating clinics, pulling results for clinicians to follow up and maintaining accurate databases to monitor investigations.
Whilst reporting to the Office Manager, the post holder will be expected to work independently on set tasks and be responsible for meeting and agreeing targets and workloads. The post holder will be required to work closely with the other members of the Team, providing cover when necessary during periods of annual leave and other absences.
The post holder will be working in a highly confidential environment and it is therefore important that they understand the need for accuracy and the considerable responsibility held whilst working in this role.
The post holder must be competent in audio typing, medical and technical terminology, computer systems and be responsible for administrative equipment.

Qualifications
Essential
* Minimum Level C GSCE English or equivalent
* NVQ Level 2 in Administration or equivalent
* IT skills qualification or equivalent
Desirable
* NVQ Level 3 in or equivalent
* ECDL or equivalent qualification
* RSA level 2 or equivalent.
Knowledge, Training & Experience
Essential
* Substantial work experience in an administrative role.
* Experience of working within tight deadlines
* Experience of working within a team and also alone.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Applications in particular Word and Excel
* Experience of use of digital dictation equipment
* Experience of audio typing
* Knowledge of Information Governance with regard to maintaining confidentiality.
* Self-motivated. Interested in personal development.
Desirable
* Experience of using NHS Trust specific data systems such as Patient Administration System (PAS), Choose and Book and SMART
* Experience and knowledge of systems and processes within the NHS and understanding of medical terminology
* Previous experience in a medical/social care background
