Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Tredegar Park Primary
Salary: Grade 6 SCP 18 - 23 £30,559 - £33,366 (Pro rata)
The children, staff and Governing Body of Tredegar Park Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated and inspirational Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join the school team.
We are looking for someone with passion and dedication in order to help us on our journey to provide the best quality education for all at Tredegar Park Primary School. The successful candidate will teach many classes to cover PPA. This cover will mainly be based in the lower school but there will be cover in the upper school also.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading on Forest School and Outdoor Learning for PPA cover. We are very fortunate to have an extensive Forest School within our school grounds. As part of our curriculum, our children visit the Forest School on a weekly basis to learn life skills and to get creative through the different months of the year. We are currently in the process of developing our Forest School grounds to provide opportunities for exploration and risk-taking tasks.
As part of the role, the successful candidate will teach Forest School, Read Write Inc and Jigsaw lessons.
PPA time will be given to prepare lessons each week. As Forest School is well-embedded across the school, lots of planning documents have already been produced through our basic Forest School provision plan. However, it will be the responsibility of the HLTA to ensure that the planning meets the needs of the classes taught and adaptations to planning will need to be made to ensure that learning opportunities are not missed. This is a real opportunity to make our provision and Forest School/Outdoor Learning sessions amazing. We are looking for someone with a genuine passion in this area.
All staff play a really important role in the life of Tredegar Park Primary School. We would like to appoint individuals who:
1. Are able to develop excellent working relationships with all pupils, Governing Body members, staff and parents/carers.
2. Are dedicated to the social, emotional and mental wellbeing of all pupils.
3. Have high expectations of what all pupils can achieve and who will invest heavily in supporting them to reach their full potential.
4. Are positive and respectful and reflect regularly on their practice in order to improve professionally.
