Scope of the Role
As a Senior Design Engineer, youll take ownership of projects from concept to production, applying strong technical skills to deliver innovative solutions.
Lead multiple projects from initial concept through to completion.
Design innovative solutions with 3D CAD, such as SolidWorks, and develop detailed production drawings.
Apply design for manufacture and assembly principles, including injection moulding, castings, and machining.
Engage in prototyping and testing to validate and optimise designs.
Mentor and support junior team members to foster technical excellence.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
Key Skills and Experience Required
Degree in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Innovation, or Industrial Design .
Proven experience in mechanical or product design engineering.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex projects.
Expertise in SolidWorks and a proven ability to produce production-ready designs.
Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, including injection moulding, sheet metal, and machining.
Salary and Benefits
£50,000 - £55,000 base salary.
Hybrid working (2-3 days per week in Worcester office).
22 days holiday, increasing to 25 after 3 years.
