Manage Eye unit and Keats House, ophthalmology department in both sites (eye unit in main site and Keats House in Bush Fair, Harlow).
To provide daily management of the outpatients staff excluding medical and non-clinical staff, whilst liaising with other service users in the provision of outpatients' services, ensuring that quality services are provided for the patients/service users, resources are efficiently and effectively deployed and that skills and competencies within the department are maintained and developed.
Report to ophthalmology Matron and liaise with all operational team like General Manager, Service manager and assistant service manager, regarding clinic capacity.
Main duties of the job
1. To appropriately manage both (Eye unit & Keats House) units, maintain safer staffing levels for all clinics.
2. To work under own initiative and make confident decisions as required to ensure smooth running of ophthalmology services.
3. To ensure compliance with all relevant Trust policies, including Health & Safety, Infection Prevention Control, Confidentiality, Data Protection, Attendance Management, Risk Register and Incident reporting and maintaining safe working environments within the units.
4. To liaise with Keats House Landlords and their team regarding the maintenance of the unit.
