Our core business activities are teaching and learning, widening access to education, research and innovation and technology and knowledge transfer. - THE ROLE - The postholder will be a key part of the team for BSc Hons Architectural Technology & Management (ATM), with primary responsibility for the delivery of teaching focused on digital design and construction using architecture and building industry standard digital information software, project management skills, and communication tools (drawing, modelling, presenting). The postholder will have a vital role across all undergraduate cohorts in maintaining and enhancing ATM’s connection to live industry standards and contributing to the delivery of appropriate digital graduate skills for Architectural Technologists working on built environment projects of varying sizes and complexity as established through the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT), the course PSRB. The post holder will be assigned to a research centre cognisant with their specialist knowledge and research. - ABOUT YOU - - An honours degree in Architectural Technology, or equivalent qualification - Chartered Architectural Technologist (CIAT), or equivalent - Expertise in one or more aspects of the following: - Experience with RIBA Plan of Work Stages 1 to 4 - Experience teaching at university level - Evidence of ability to plan work schedules and meet time-critical deadlines - Evidence of research or professional development activity commensurate with individual career path to date, or demonstration of potential research or academic collaboration initiatives and/or networks that would be of benefit to the school. - Expertise in one or more aspects of the following: a) REVIT b) AutoCAD c) BIM authoring software for 2d and 3d d) BIM tools in practice across domestic and commercial projects - Willingness to travel as required by the needs of the post - Willingness to participate in extra-curricular activities on occasion as required by the post - Willingness to deliver materials in a range of delivery styles and using conventional and digital mediums Please find our employee benefits on our website.
