This is a great opportunity to join a small team within the local office of a nationwide company as a Sales and Administration Assistant. They are a friendly team that get on well and enjoy a bit of banter whilst getting the job done.
With 15 offices within the UK and a strong global presence, this is an established company with opportunity for progression into other areas for the right person if that is what they wanted. We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable person who is self-motivated and hungry to succeed. That wants to work as part of a close-knit team and will be prepared to help outside of their direct role to ensure that the office runs smoothly and successfully as a whole, be that getting milk on the way in, or helping cover someones role if they are on holiday.
Full time in the office, Mon-Thur 8.30-5pm and Fri 8.30-4pm. With a salary of £26,000-£28,000 .
The ideal Sales and Administration Assistant will be able to learn about the products being supplied and able to talk confidently on the phone about these to existing clients, making sure that they have everything that they need upselling/cross selling where possible. There is no cold calling with this position, but you will also be talking to potential new clients that have contacted the company with an enquiry about the products.
You should have good administration skills, basic maths skills (able to calculate areas and volumes of space) ,prepare quotations and send to customers as necessary, follow them up, right through to completion and make sure all the customers needs are met as well as other administration tasks within the team. Experience with Word, Excel and Microsoft Dynamics CRM would be beneficial.
They would like to find a long-term person who would like to stay with the company. The personality and attitude of this person is very important, full training will be given over a period of 12-15months, but they are looking for a dedicated and keen person who really wants to do well and will pick up the phone and have good conversations, contribute in a meaningful and positive way to the teams success.
As Sales and Administration Assistant you will be entitled to
25 days holiday plus bank holidays (minus Christmas shutdown days)
