Due to continued growth, the company is looking for a Process Engineer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working within the entire process supporting production to ensure the plant is set up to maximum efficiencies.
You will gather information to assist in designing, installing and commissioning new production machinery as well as any monitoring and troubleshooting whilst supervising a small team to assist in your work.

Duties:
1. Assessing industrial processes and taking measurements and data
2. Developing practices, routines and solutions to help improve productivity and product quality
3. Supervise a small team of process technicians, who will support you in your role.
4. Improve operational areas utilizing a lean/process-based skill set in areas such as root cause analysis, SMED, operator efficiency, shop floor layout, 5S.
5. Designing and running process simulations, performing risk assessment testing to eliminate time and cost constraints
6. Preparing process documentation and operating instructions
7. Overseeing and assessing new and existing processes and workflows
8. Ensure lean training material is optimized and fit for purpose through collaboration
9. Devising, implementing and testing new strategies to help optimize productivity
10. Analyzing data to discover areas that need improvements and upgrades
11. Be prepared to assist maintenance when asked to do so by the Head of Engineering & Maintenance.
12. Assessing compliance and adherence to safety and quality standards and reporting to higher management about their findings and proposals
13. Any other reasonable duty as requested by a manager and commensurate with the work level and own ability
The Person:
1. Strong Engineering and/or Manufacturing background
2. Formal qualification in Engineering
3. Experience in supervision
4. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
5. Knowledge of H&S regulations
6. Experience in manufacturing machinery would be advantageous
7. Knowledge of manufacturing improvement strategies
8. Working knowledge of end-to-end manufacturing process
